I am so thrilled to announce that it’s finished!
When I began thinking of writing another P&P based story, one couple stood out: The Gardiners. They are such lovely people, and I started wondering what could have brought them together. We know that Mrs Gardiner was from Lambton, or at least had lived some years there, and that Mr Gardiner would have been a Hertfordshire man before moving to London. The gears started turning, and I hope the result does these wonderful characters credit.
There was absolutely no question about who would do the cover- it had to be my dear friend Janet Taylor, who had been BETA reading the project from the beginning. She has such a heart for the characters and the story, and she did a perfectly stunning job bringing them to life on the cover. Take a look!
As much as I love the front cover, with proud Edward, bashful Madeline, and a few other characters who instantly pop out from the story, it’s the back cover that takes my breath away. There, we see the shadow of a very young, proud gentleman, as well as very young renditions of the two ladies who hold his heart.
The Courtship of Edward Gardiner is now available for pre-order. The Kindle edition releases on October 21, 2016, and the paperback should be available at the same time. I hope you enjoy it!
The last official stop in the Northern Rain blog tour is today at The Calico Critic. Laura wrote a well-thought-out, detailed review, and I am delighted to hear that we have inspired a new North & South fan!
The blog stop includes a giveaway of its own, with the very first opportunity to win an audiobook copy of Northern Rain, to be produced by Stevie Zimmerman this fall! I am thrilled to work with Stevie Zimmerman again. I know that she will bring such wonderful life to the story, and I cannot wait to hear it!
Stop by, and good luck in the giveaway!
What an honor to have a dedicated Pride and Prejudice blogger review my newest North & South inspired book! Claudine, you made my day.

This has been a very exciting week for me! Last Monday, my third novel, Northern Rain, became available on Kindle. I am over the moon excited, in no small part because I have suddenly encountered a wonderful audience of North & South fans like myself. It is such a powerful story, it simply begs to be reexamined. I had, for the longest time, kept my head buried in my laptop, crafting my own private stories and hoping that someone else would enjoy them as well. Imagine my surprise! I must here thank Janet Taylor of More Agreeably Engaged for encouraging me to test the waters- and, of course, for her delicious work on the cover of Northern Rain!
Not only did we just release Northern Rain, but we also are getting ready to release the audiobook version of No Such Thing As Luck. That was my first baby, you might say, so I am very excited to see it coming to life! Ana Clements has done a simply beautiful job narrating, although it was a long, harrowing project. I am so grateful that we will get to enjoy it soon!
As they say, better late than never- I also have to give a shout out to the fabulous Stevie Zimmerman, who narrated Rumours & Recklessness. I still giggle every time I listen to her characterizations of Lady Catherine and Caroline Bingley!
